14 June 2019: Competition entries closes
19 June 2019: Competition winners informed

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS
Commonwealth Children’s Choir Competition 2018
1. Children’s Choirs ( ages 9 - 14 ) in any of the 54 countries in the Commonwealth are invited to enter the Commonwealth Children’s Choir Competition 2018.
2. The winner of the Commonwealth Children’s Choir Competition 2018 will receive a £1,000 cash prize.
3. The winner of the Commonwealth Children’s Choir Competition 2018 will take up a 12-month role as a “Commonwealth Music Ambassador” from Commonwealth Day 2019.
4. Each choir entering the Commonwealth Children’s Choir Competition 2018 will be required to perform the following music:

  • The Commonwealth Anthem.
  • Its own country’s National Anthem.
  • “A Song For The Commonwealth” by Simon Haw.

5. Each choir entering the Commonwealth Children’s Choir Competition 2018 is required to write 500 words about the importance of music in its community.
